Bait – 10:00 PM ET, MAX

Jamie Foxx is a fine actor, as he proved with his Oscar-winning turn in 2004’s “Ray.” But that’s not evident in this weak 2000 actioner, in which he’s merely a poor man’s Eddie Murphy. His character, Alvin, a small-time thief, shares a prison cell with a big-time one (Robert Pastorelli) who tells him that he and his partner have stolen and hidden $42 million in gold. When the feds get wind of this, they decide to implant a tracking device in Alvin’s jaw in hopes of reeling in the other gold thief (Doug Hutchison). Recommended for fanatical Foxx fiends only.
