When split-screen commentator Mike Barnicle brought the slip to his attention, Scarborough apologized profusely. "If I actually said the word …great apologies!" he said. "I am so sorry." TV Guide reports that NBC has ordered an additional nine episode of quirky cop drama Life , which brings their sophmore season to a standard 22. The show, about police detective Charlie Crews (Damien Lewis) who shared 12 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, in now airing Wednesdays at 9 PM. Us reports that Isaiah Washington, himself ousted from ABC's Grey's Anatomy after making homophobic remarks towards castmate T.R. Knight in 2007, is calling actress Brooke Smith's firing "disgusting." "Now that I see what they're doing to a show that I love and I care about, I think it's disgusting," Washington said to TV Guide. "The fact that Shonda [Rhimes, the executive producer] has been put in this position is extremely unfair.?? It's unfortunate because it was probably, at the time, the most progressive show on television," he says. "Now I see it [being] systematically torn apart."?? Smith's character, lesbian "Dr. Erica Hahn", will exit this month after a controversial relationship with Sara Ramirez's "Callie" character. Rhimes has stated that the exit has nothing to do with the gay storyline. |
