We begin with Betty on the phone with Hilda talking about Kimmy and how she hopes to avoid her. But, avoiding her isn't going to be so easy. Kimmy is at Betty's desk getting her make-up done. Daniel comes by, Betty tries to tell him about a plumbing problem at his apartment, but he's more concerned with what Kimmy wants to talk to him about. Kimmy has major plans for a charity event. As Daniel and Kimmy walk away to go start the planning they both tell Betty to get them breakfast. Betty is thrilled to once again be acting as Kimmy's assistant.

Later, Daniel and Wilhemina meet with an accountant. Apparently they've been spending too much at Meade and need to cut back a little. Then again who isn't cutting back thesedays? Claire is also in on the meeting for some reason or another and tells them they really should hire a CFO. The accountant says if they don't hire a CFO and get a handle on the spending Meade won't be around for too much longer.

Betty has a flashback of Jesse helping her with her groceries and they both complain that it seems like no matter what they do they can't ever get ahead. When she snaps out of the flashback Kimmy is sitting around telling everyone a story, Amanda and Marc try to get in on the story but Kimmy blows them off. They are pissed that she's trying to cut them out of the "in" group. Later, at a staff meeting, Daniel and Wilhemina announce the next issue is all about "sizzling" items and Kimmy gets her first official assignment to do a write-up on a "sizzling club." Betty is jealous and after the meeting goes to Daniel and asks why she didn't get to pitch a story idea for the issue. He says that she could've but she never has before and tells her to pitch him now. Betty thinks for a few minutes and then it dawns on her. She suggests doing a "sizzling fruit" story. She sells the idea and Daniel buys it. SCORE!

Betty rushes to get some fruit and then home to tell her family. They start tasting the fruits and trying to figure out which is the best. After several boring fruits Ignacio has a lightbulb go off. He remembers that he has a 'sizzling' fruit idea that was passed along a long time ago. It's a fruit called a "tico berry" and comes from Brazil. It's a rather ugly fruit but it's worth looking into at least. It turns out after some research that the fruit is the favorite of model, Adriana Lima. By the next morning Daniel, Wilhemina and Betty make a major announcement. The sizzling fruit is the tico berry and Adiana Lima has agreed to do a cover shoot with the tico berry. Her family apparently has a tico berry farm and she absolutely loves the berry! Another plus is that Daniel cuts Kimmy's "sizzling club" story from the issue. SCORE again!

A CFO coincidentally bumps into Wilhemina on the street and just so happens to be an enemy of Daniel. Wilhemina is super excited when she hears he and Daniel don't get along. But, I thought she wanted to make things right with Daniel? Will Wilhemina ever turn good??

After landing the Adriana Lima cover, Betty gets the opportunity to do a TV interview. As she's getting ready for the interview, doing her own make-up, Kimmy comes along and insists on doing Betty's make-up for her. Betty gives in and lets Kimmy do her make-up and put on fake eyelashes. As Kimmy's doing the make-up Betty tells her what she's going to say during the interview. Just before the interview Betty decides to make a quick call to Justin to let the fam know she'll be on TV. While she's gone Kimmy flirts with the TV crew. When Betty comes back it's time for the interview. At first it seems to go well but then Betty starts to get nervous and sweaty under the numerous hot, bright lights. Before long Betty is in full meltdown mode, fake eyelashes are coming off, and she's panicking. Betty steps away from the camera for a minute and Kimmy steps in to take her place. Kimmy finishes the interviewing saying exactly what Betty said she was going to say. Afterward Betty is furious and realizes Kimmy just sabotaged her. Daniel and Wilhemina call them both into a meeting and tell Betty that they're going to have Kimmy help her with the Adriana Lima shoot. After the meeting Kimmy tells Betty that one of them will be gone in two days and it's not going to be her. I guess we'll see about that.

Wilhemina talks to Daniel about hiring Conner, the CFO she met earlier. Daniel refuses but Wilhemina hits back telling him that he needs to do what's best for the company.

Betty goes to Daniel and tells him she can't work with Kimmy. He tells her how he has to deal with working with Wilhemina even though they don't get along and she should do the same with Kimmy. He says that as she moves further up things are only going to get harder. You either play dirty or get ran over.

Kimmy blows off Amanda and Marc again later which enrages the both of them. They start to plot their revenge and then spot Betty and realize she can be in on their plot too. At first she thinks about it but then she says no. Betty needs to start playing dirty! By afternoon Betty changes her mind and decides to play dirty. The last straw is when Kimmy shows up at Adriana Lima's side at the afternoon staff meeting. Kimmy picked up Adriana at the airport the night before and they went to dinner before. While hanging out Kimmy told Adriana all the plans for the cover shoot were her idea, and gave no credit to Betty. When Betty tries to introduce herself to Adriana Kimmy just brushes her aside.

Daniel finally agrees to meet with Conner to discuss the CFO role. He actually ends up impressing both Wilhemina and Daniel, though Daniel won't admit it. Before the meeting is over Conner hands them a business plan for what he'd do with Meade as CFO.

Betty meets with Amanda and Marc after work and they all plot for Kimmy's downfall. Amanda's plans are a little too extreme so they axe her ideas. They finally decide on a plan. Earlier in the day Wilhemina had demanded suggested that a necklace be worn by Adriana. Amanda, Marc and Betty figure out that Wilhemina will get a cut if the necklace's value goes up when it gets auctioned so she will be furious if it's not in the shoot. They will somehow get Kimmy to not put the necklace in the shoot and then Wilhemina will get rid of her.

The next day, Hilda, Ignacio and Justin are all excited about election day. They have decorated and Justin is even wearing an Uncle Sam outfit. Ignacio goes and votes, but Hilda ends up having her busiest day at the hair salon that she's ever had and says she may not have time to vote. In the afternoon a councilman comes by to get a haircut and mentions Hilda should really have a business license to run the hair salon from the house. Hilda gets mad and refuses to cut his hair. This makes her realize, again, the importance of her vote.

At the photo shoot, Amanda and Marc casually talk Kimmy into not including the necklace. They tell her that it's hideous and it must have been Betty's horrible idea to include it. Kimmy takes the necklace out of the shoot. Amanda and Marc go to Betty and tell her, "we set her up, you knock her down." Amanda, Marc and Betty on the same team? This is crazy! Betty does just that though. She goes to Kimmy and tells her that she wishes she wasn't so weak and could stand up to Wilhemina because Wilhemina likes it when people stand up to her. Kimmy once again takes the bait.

On the way to the shoot Daniel admits he was wrong to Wilhemina and calls Conner to hire him to be CFO. Wilhemina is thrilled thinking she just really screwed Daniel over, but there's more to this story that she doesn't know yet.

After Daniel and Wilhemina arrive at the shoot Wilhemina immedately starts wanting answers as to why the necklace isn't in the shoot. Betty feels bad that Kimmy is going to get in trouble and tries to be honest with her but it's too late and Kimmy is too stubborn. Wilhemina confronts Kimmy about the necklace and Kimmy tells her that it was ugly and it's not going to be in the shoot and that's final. Wilhemina can't believe Kimmy is standing up to her and tells her that she's fired! Kimmy starts to freak out realizing that she just made a mistake, no more clothing line, perfume, etc dreams. In her meltdown Kimmy decides if she's done then the shoot is done and takes the rare "tico berries" and throws them in a pond nearby. Security is quick to the scene and hauls Kimmy off kicking and screaming.

Adriana Lima arrives to the shoot a short time later and can't wait to get some of her favorite "tico berries." Daniel and Wilhemina are starting to have a meltdown themselves and they turn to Betty for help. Betty realizes that she sent a fruit basket to Adriana's hotel room the day before and it includes some tico berries. Betty goes to Adriana and asks if she happened to eat all of the berries. Fortunately, she didn't eat all but one and they manage to pull off an amazing shoot with just the one tico berry.

As the episode is wrapping up Conner comes to see Daniel and we find out that Daniel was in on the whole scheme. It looks like Daniel has finally started to play dirty too.

Betty goes home to her apartment. She tells Jesse that she got to do the shoot and how well it turned out. She even has business cards! He's really happy for her. How long until these two get together??

It looks like that's all for Lindsay Lohan on Ugly Betty. I believe this was the final episode before she got cut out after the rumored drama on-set with America Ferrera. Poor LiLo!
